0131 272 2800Claudia joined the Avanté team in January 2009. An experienced and currently practicing tutor, mentor, lecturer and doctoral researcher as well as a Writer for Shelter Scotland’s online Legal resource, Claudia is committed to research and policy improvement for all.
Claudia began her career in the Investment sector, following a degree in Business Law and Finance from Strathclyde University. The experience in this area included work as a Business Analyst which allowed Claudia to establish herself as a good developer of strategic directions and a competent intermediary between client and business. However, her career aspirations took her back to academia, and in 2005, she successfully gained her Masters in Urban Policy and Practice with a distinction and top of year award for her dissertation, which sought to understand how tenant participation has worked in towns in Ayrshire, following the introduction of the Housing Scotland Act 2001.
Following work in Housing Policy in a Local Authority, Claudia accepted an offer to join the University of Glasgow as a doctoral researcher. Since making that move she has never looked back. She enjoys the work she does as it is all about helping others; whether through her research or consultancy.
